tulip notecards

I made some simple note cards with the tulips image from our new Water Your Soul set. I just love coloring in those tulips... they turn out pretty every time. I wanted these to be generic cards that I could write a quick note or thank you in. I chose paper and buttons to match the tulip color.

Washington is a big tulip state. We have a lot of tulip farms up north in Skagit Valley. My mom is coming into town next week and I plan on taking her to the Tulip Festival... I can't wait to take some good photos of my kids in the tulip gardens!

care for an appetizer?

We've been designing a new line of stamp sets called Appetizers for Gourmet Rubber Stamps, and I have to say-- I love these sets, they are some of our best! There our four images per set and it's really the perfect size. Here are a few cards I've made lately with our Appetizer sets!

The cards below feature Clothesline Greetings. I have two prego friends in their third trimester, both expecting baby girls, so I made two! Aren't they fun baby cards?

These next two cards features a set called Water Your Soul, a garden set. I have been wanting to draw a tulip stamp forever, don't know what took me so long! I also wanted a garden bench... something you don't see in garden sets that often.

This last card features Mother Knows Best. This is a card I made for my Mom for Mother's Day... I love that vintage lady. I wish I had a hat like hers. I wish ladies still wore hats! When did that trend disappear? It needs to come back into style. Hats are so fun.

As you can see, I've been pretty crafty this week. It feels good!

spring scrapbooking

We just got back from Spring Break, and I scrapbooked a few of my photos. We spent a few days at Disneyland and then a few days at grandma and grandpas house in St. George, Utah. My kids fell in love with the waterslides at the Disneyland Hotel...that is what inspired the swimming layout. We also met my sister and her kids in St. George... and our boys are just best friends, they really look forward to seeing each other. It was so nice to finally get some sunshine, it's been a very wet spring here in Seattle!
