cha. stuff.

I'm back from CHA! Here are a few highlights and things I loved about my trip...

Our booth. We were lucky enough to be right next to the Splitcoaststampers booth, so we always had a happy group of stampers right there at all times. The stampers OWNED that corner of the show. YEAH! The photo above is of me and Meridith sitting on the Splitcoast couch (there was a big jar of jelly belly's jellybeans on the table in front of the couch that I frequented often during the show.) Meridith was taking all the photos because my point-and-shoot broke. So make sure to go to the Lizzie Anne company blog to see all the rest...

The Valentine's Day tree. I made this little tree to sit on top of our samples bookcase. I stamped all kinds of Valentine's Day images and made little ornaments. The tree is from Doodlebug. And now it's sitting on top of my kitchen table! I always end up with a little something for myself after we decorate our trade show booths...it's a perk.

I was sprinkled by Stacy Julian. I saw Stacy Julian aka/super awesome scrapbooking designer walking towards me and she handed me this little bottle of cupcake sprinkles. I had no idea why. Ha ha! I checked out her blog when I got home and AHA! She was spreading a little sprinkle all around the show. How cute is that? Little did she know she was sprinkling the sprinkle/cupcake queen. I'll cherish it forever.

I got YouTubed. Several people filmed me in our booth and I was a little petrified of how it was going to turn out. Ha ha. Here's one from Carolina's Creative Pad...she did some *great* editing! The video is below...I'm talking about our new Sixlets stamp sets.

Toast anybody? I made this little make-and-take for our booth and guess what? Our new In the Kitchen stamp set featuring this little toaster was our top-seller at the show. We sold out! It was awesome. I love that little toast. We've ordered some more so if you were hoping to get your hands on this little beauty of a stamp set it will be back in stock soon!

Lizzie Anne Fans. Can I just tell you how much fun it was to meet so many Lizzie Anne fans?! One of my favorite thing about the SuperShow portion of CHA is that it's such a blast interacting with our customers. We took so many photos with you that I lost count. You all rock...thanks for making us feel special! Can't wait to see what you create with your new stamps!

Design Team Challenge

We are starting a new feature at Lizzie Anne called the Design Team Challenge. I'm really excited about this idea. Every month we'll find a new way to challenge the girls and then we'll have a little Design Team Blog Hop to see what they come up with! It will be fun thinking up new challenges every month (if you ever have any challenge suggestions let me know!)

This month we challenged the girls to ink up some past Lizzie Anne stamps that they haven't played with for awhile. I chose Bloomin' Doodles, a set we came out with last summer. I just love the shape of these blooms...it's a floral set that always seems to work with any patterned paper I'm trying to pair it with. This is my challenge project...a card I made for my Mom's birthday this week.

This is my favorite shabby-chic style where I just layer all kinds of stuff on my card. I made a second little bloom in the corner using some of the leaves from the set and a button for the "flower". I'm going to stamp a nice birthday sentiment on the inside.

Go and check out the other blogs that are participating in the challenge today...you can find a list of them HERE!

new stamps!

Today is our winter stamp release! We are releasing some stamps I've been wanting to see for quite some time. We have two new Valentine's Day sets....I love Valentine's Day stuff. Meridith designed a stamp set called Vintage Valentine that has a cupid with wings and some really cool nostalgic images. I like to make cards in the shabby-chic look and this stamp set is perfect for that. Here's a card I made with Vintage Valentine...

Just look at all those layers and corrugated cardstock and buttons and twine and distress ink. Love it.

We have another Valentine's Day set we're releasing today called A Little Love. I designed A Little Love for the little people in our lives...they are the perfect images to use for kids Valentine's. I know my son is really sensitive to what his Valentine's SAY...he is giving them to his schoolmates so he doesn't want them to be too mushy. The sentiments in this set coordinate with the images and they are "punny" and not too squishy. Perfect for kids. Here are two cards I made with the princess and the spaceship...

When my daughter saw the princess Valentine she said "Ooooooooooh, Princess!" So I guess it gets the toddler seal-of-approval. :)

For the spaceship Valentine, I made the sentiment into a flag or a sign that is on a planet. (The planet image was from our Out of This World stamp set.) I used a wooden dowel for the stick on the sign but I think a toothpick would work great too. Both of these cards use the "A Little Love" digital paper pack we are releasing today too. This set is one of our new Sixlets stamp sets...a new product!

I can't even tell you how excited I am about the In the Kitchen stamp set we are releasing. I've been wanting kitchen stamps for a long time...and I've had a lot of people tell me we should make a kitchen stamp set. I can't wait to use the Mix Master image...you know how you can buy the Mix Master in so many different colors? I am going to do an all-pink card with a pink Mix Master for my mother-in-laws birthday, she'll love it. I'll post that later. :) The card below features the toaster and the smilie-faced toast. I love the sentiment that goes with it...it's perfect for a Hello card.

Make sure to go over to our website and see all the new stamps! You can see them all here >> NEW RELEASE.

The rest of January is going to be crazy. Meridith and I are exhibiting in the CHA Craft SuperShow at the end of the month and our booth is going to be twice as big as any booth we've ever had...PLUS we are going to have a make-and-take table there with six different projects. AND we are doing the Splitcoaststampers booth make-and-take too! So we are BUSY. I'm not sure when I'm going to have time to post again...it may be after the show! We will take lots of photos of course. If you are in the Anaheim, CA area, make sure to come to the show on January 22 and 23rd...we'd love to meet you in person! That is what makes these shows so much fun...we LOVE meeting our customers and all the happy stampers and crafters out there. We look forward to it every year. Hope to see some of you in Anaheim!
