saturday stampin!

My card class at Hip 2B Square is this Saturday morning and I'm so excited to teach it, I can't wait! There are still a few spots left open so if you live in the Seattle area and want to sign up there is still time! The card above is a pop-up birthday card we'll be making that I'm quite excited about....it features our Cupcake single and a sentiment from Circle Sentiments. I actually used some Basic Grey magnetic snaps on this card to keep it from popping open because the little 3-D cupcake inside was making it pretty thick...I've had those magnetic snaps laying around for about a year and I finally had a good way to use them! (And it worked GREAT might I add.) Hope to see some of you this Saturday!

happy spring!

It's officially Spring! Though you wouldn't know it here in Seattle where it's raining buckets, but nonetheless it's Springtime, so I wanted to post a "Thank You Spring" card for finally arriving! I just used more of my butterfly paper and lots of springtime colors. The stamps are from our Circle Sentiments stamp set...I love this set and it's always one of the first sets I go to when I'm looking for a simple sentiment.

Speaking of Springtime...it's almost time to announce our Spring stamp release that will be happening in April. I'm counting down the days already.... ;)

Have a wonderful weekend!

sketch card and a little green

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! This is the card I did based on our sketch challenge this week...the extra challenge was to use pastel colors (as you can see I did) and notice that there is green on my card so nobody can cyber-pinch me. ha ha. I spent the morning teaching my son about the origins of St. Patrick's Day...for some reason he's really into it this year! We went and bought green sugar cookies from the store and then he wanted to watch the Irish dancing and cooking on the Morning Show. He chose a shirt with a green stripe too. Tonight I might just have to put green food-coloring in whatever it is we're having for dinner...that's always what my mother would do for us on St. Patty's day, ha ha!

Card supplies:
Jolies Fleurs stamp set
French Floral patterned paper
Marvy Giga scallop oval punch and Mega oval punch
Copic Markers
Polka-dot ribbon
Martha Stewart border punch

no spring skips its turn...

Well, after seeing SNOW fall again today (good freakin' greif) I felt this sentiment from our Say it in Script stamp set was appropriate...

I think I need to blow this sentiment up full-size and turn it into a poster to put on my wall to get me through the rest of March. Sigh.

I do like how my card turned out though. I cut the little butterflies out of some butterfly patterned paper I had and bent them in the middle to give the card some dimension.

That's all for today...stay warm!

hop on over

I'm starting to put together the cards I'm going to have my class make later this month at Hip 2B Square and I'm having so much fun playing! I went over to the store last Saturday and Kim, the store owner, picked out some materials for me to use for making my class samples. A "ways to use it" challenge, if you will! I guess not unlike what our ladies experience as part of our design team...we give them the stamps and tell them to go for it and get creative! It's fun being on the other end of the rope where I'm being given the product to work with, ha ha. I could get used to this. ;)

Here's a cute little bunny card featuring our Hoppy Easter stamp single...I am planning on having the class make a few "Spring-themed" cards (because heaven knows we Seattle-ites could sure use some Spring after all this random snow we've been getting this month!)

Once again my class is going to be on Saturday, March 28th at 10:30am...hope to get to meet some of you!

blue hands

I just discovered this morning that my daughter likes to color with Copic markers too! Especially the blue one.

The good news is that the scrapbooking possibilites for these photos are endless....

birdie invite

I just really need to make a card today...it's been awhile since I've had some time to do some papercrafting and I've been going through withdrawal. So I did the LAD sketch challenge for the week which is being hosted by the lovely Joslyn. I just got this cute birdie paper (Basic Grey Offbeat collection) and I thought it would be cute paired with the little birdie from our Party Animals stamp set and our It's a Party stamp set for a party invite. I am known for deviating from the sketch a bit and this is no exception...there should be buttons across the bottom and the square should be centered but it just wasn't working for this particular card so I improvised, ha ha. I do that a lot. It's okay (I think ;)

hello out there in blogging land...

Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I've posted any projects for you but for good reason...Meridith and I just finished designing our Spring release stamp line that we will be releasing in April! Yippee! I'm so excited to share our designs with you...it's truly my most favorite part of being a stamp designer and stamp-company owner. The details of our Spring release will appear in our April newsletter and on our blog right around then.

News for my local Seattle-ites! I will be teaching a card-making class at my local scrapbooking store, Hip 2B Square in Snoqualmie (on the Eastside, about 30 min away from Seattle), on Saturday, March 28th at 10:30am. It would fun to get to see some of you there! If you want to attend, contact the store at (425)396-1277 and tell them I sent ya! ;)
